Spring has sprung and Easter is just around the corner. Plan ahead and make preparations early for your holiday get togethers. The Madam Miatas will again hold their popular bake sale.

Don't miss out on the chance to get the most delicious delicacies to share with your friends and loved ones. Home cooked from family recipes passed down to our members, you will have the opportunity to bid on specialties such as Pina Colada Cake, Lemon Cookies, Cake Balls, Coconut Pie, Chocolate Pie and Creme de Menthe Bars. Old favorites such as bread pudding, the infamous rum cake and certain cookies are being invited for an encore appearance.

MM members, both male and female, start selecting your best entry in the bake sale. There will be surprises for all involved at the meeting. An exciting auction will entice everyone to help out the Easter Bunny and Mountain Miatas by purchasing the item of your choice with the winning bid. Think of how appreciative your guests will be when you showcase one of these pies or cakes at your special dinner.

For those of you who lack the time or inclination to cook, we have the answer. Just submit the winning bid and you will take home the most scrumptious tastings available in the southeast. A special auctioneer will be presiding over the festivities. Prepare to be amazed at the offerings presented by our members. All proceeds will go to Mountain Miatas of East Tennessee.

30th Saturday, Oct 30th, 2010, Depart at 1:15 PM

Join the Mountain Miatas Car Club for a drive around the Devil’s Triangle.  The Devil’s Triangle is comprised of a trip starting in Oliver Springs going north on SR62 where it turns right onto SR116 which then will eventually lead you back to Oliver Springs.  Looking at the route on a map does reveal the general outline of a triangle.  I am not sure where the nickname Devil came from but seems appropriate for a Halloween drive.

We will meet at the Oak Ridge Walmart parking area near Panera Bread.  The Walmart is located off SR62 also called Illinois Ave.  Coming from Knoxville via Pellissipi Parkway you will enter town and watch for a McDonalds on the left and a Ruby Tuesdays on the right,Walmart is located behind the Ruby Tuesdays.  We will depart Walmart at 1:15 pm so please be there a little early.

The drive will take about four hours and will end at our home in south Knoxville.  We will have finger foods and drinks.  We hope the weather will cooperate so we can have this gathering outside around a campfire.

So make plans to join us for a nice drive and fellowship.

If you wish to contribute monetarily any proceeds will be used to purchase necessary items for the family's use and for gift cards to Kroger's, Walmart, Walgreen's, etc., for their future needs. The Madam Miatas will be coordinating the shopping, wrapping and delivery of the gifts, along with a food basket. [Date and time to be announced.]
